New Office Episode - "Survey Day"

I dreamed an entire episode of The Office. It was called "Survey Day," and all the characters were in it, including me! For most of the episode, there were a ton of businessmen in the lobby for a big meeting, and they were all sitting around in suits and carrying briefcases. I remember Meredith and Kelly being all excited about "all the men." I saw Jim sandwiched between a bunch of other businessmen, and, of course, he was making faces at the camera.

At one point, I was in a giant elevator with Pam and I'd left my purse in the lobby, so we had to go up and don a lot to go get it. The elevator had two separate entrances right next to each other, but about ten feet apart. The elevator was like a room in itself, with plants and bookshelves everywhere.

Part of the whole big meeting involved everybody filling out surveys, hence "Survey Day." Each person had a personalized survey with their name on it and questions specific to their lives and jobs. I couldn't find mine, so I decided to fill in all the answers as three-word phrases, like "Haste Makes Waste," and also with Metallica album titles, like "Ride the Lightning."

In the dream, I kept having to double-check to make sure this episode hadn't happened before.

Daily Menu

I dreamed I was reading this piece of paper that belonged to this guy I know a little bit. The first part had detailed his running schedule (how much he runs each day) and how he feels after. The second part was his daily menu. Here is what I remember:

Breakfast AM
2 Breakfast sandwiches (I took this to mean McDonalds egg mcmuffins or something along that line)
1 bar - chocolate cereal root beer

AM Snack
1 slice of gum - Juicy Fruit (but there was a picture of minty gum next to it!)

Lunch
Bread and Toast

I don't remember the rest, but I do remember that by dinner he wrote something like "You wouldn't believe how the full sets in," implying that he didn't even need dinner. I kept reading his meals, wondering what the hell kind of eating plan this was. Low carb? High bread? I just didn't get it!

The Most Bando Music Nerd Dream I've Ever Had

I dreamed that I was in a class with Sherin. It was probably a high school class, but we were our current age. We were supposed to be silently reading from this giant book we were sharing. It was a book of the sheet music for the musical Les Misérables.

I was reading a story about one of the characters when I realized Sherin had been trying to get my attention for awhile. She was all giggley and motioned towards one page where she had drawn a stick figure drawing of the character (Marius) who sings this particular song. I laughed really hard. She'd also drawn "a heart" around the whole page, but it looked like a giant oval, not a heart. Everything was drawn childishly and crudely, in crayon. We realized that we needed to get back to work since the teacher was looking at us. I flipped to one song called "Bring Him Home" and began reading it. The I realized I'd need to play the first note on the piano it in order to read it.

In my dream I played a Bb.

It sounded like a B.

In the real sheet music (which I ran to check right after I woke up), it's a C.

These three notes are all half steps apart, i.e. they're all right next to each other on a piano, including both black and white keys. Wow...bando...

Secret Admirer

I was in a suite on the top floor of a fancy hotel. I'd just gotten out of the shower and was in a white bathrobe and towel when there came a knock at my door. It was a little boy, about three years old, who handed me a note. I took it, thanking him, and remembering that "this had been happening all night." That is, little kids were delivering notes to all the hotel guests all night and this was the third one I'd received.

As the boy turned to leave, I realized that I recognized him. "Hey, are you Reginald?" I asked. He looked back at me and his clothes transformed from regular clothes to a plaid short-pants outfit and he said "yeah." I knew him from this website. If you ever want to know what's funny in life, check that link.

After Reginald left, I opened the note. It was from a secret admirer. It told me to open my door at 8:00 pm and follow the trail. The trail would be made out of "gruyère cheese pieces, each topped with a savory onion ring" (word for word, what I remember), and that there would be nine of them leading me to my secret admirer. The note was typed in a pretty, swirly font, but somebody had crossed out "8:00 pm" and written, in sloppy handwriting and with a pen that was clearly running out of ink, "ten after 9:00."

I was excited for a little while until I realized it might be this one particular ex-boyfriend of mine, who I would never ever want to get back together with. I got all nervous and started practicing how to "let him down easy."
